Spring has Sprung!

To thank Skeezix for all the free advertising he has given The Cat in the Clover, I made this one-of-a-kind special fancy collar for him. Pink is his signature color, and is there any wonder why? He is very comfortable in his mancatness and isn't afraid to wear pink, or a fancy collar! You gotta love that in a mancat!

Be sure to stop by Skeezix's Scratching Post if you're ever feeling blue. He will turn your frown upside down!

He also assists over at The Cat's Meow - Catster's blog. He is one busy boy, and we love him!

Happy Birthday Miles!

Our friend, Miles, is 20 years old today! He and his family are friends over at Catster. His good buddy, Fido and family, sent him a Cat in the Clover tie for his birthday.

His Daddy showed him how to properly wear his tie, and wowza, doesn't he look super duper handsome and young for a 20 year old?

I hope all your birthday dreams come true, Miles! I think you may have a future in the modeling world! Happy Birthday!

St. Paddy's Day CEO

Meet handsome Rufus. He is the CEO of St. Patrick's day with his tie from The Cat in the Clover! I'll be calling him Rufus McBlueeyes this month.

Rufus is a Catster friend of ours - he has a not-so-secret crush on the lovely Samoa! Rufus ordered a Valentine's tie from my shop, and unfortunately, the package took way too long to arrive. He lives in the Washington DC area, and I'm sure with all the politicians in his city, the tie was being admired and passed around the White House before Rufus received it.

Thanks for welcoming March, Rufus McBlueeyes!

Moderncat!

If you've never heard of Moderncat, you must check out their website - very cool products! They recently added a link to their site that showcases their favorite Etsy sites.

The Cat in the Clover made the list! Thanks to Diego's mom for the comment on one of their blog entries:

Thank you so much for compiling a great selection of etsy sellers. I have already ordered one item and have seen a ton of other that I want. Check out “The Cat in the Clover” store on etsy.

Grandma Would Cry!

Being a fan of thrift stores and antique hunting, I've come across so many beautiful linens that once graced the homes of my grandparents' generation. I've been particularly interested in the pretty hankies, and I've purchased quite a few with the intention of doing something with them.

Some of them are pretty enough to frame which I plan to do. And some of them make a cat's neck look spiffy! This is a prototype that Samoa and Newman are modeling. It is held on their neck by velcro and is very comfortable. It has a row of rick rack across the top.

Newman thinks he looks like a sissy wearing a big pink rose, but I think he looks yummy cute! Be looking for these Hankie Collars in my Etsy shop!

Handsome!

A couple of very handsome boys are modeling the neckties from my Etsy shop. Boogers is wearing a gift from his pal, Pansy. Dang, he is cute!

And Bellsnickles looks super duper in his valentine tie. Don't you love his name?

There is something about a cat in a tie . . . . . . . the girls are all swooning!

Kanzashi

Diego's Mom makes beautiful fabric flowers called Kanzashi. Kanzashi are hair ornaments used in traditional Japanese hairstyles. The fabric is folded in different ways to create the flowers. She recently sent me two beautiful ones that she made.

I created a collar and attached the Kanzashi. I sent it to LuLu, Diego's sister. She is a shy little girl, so Diego said he would do the modeling! Doesn't he look handsome?
