Tie One On!

I never thought I'd be one of those people who puts clothing on cats. But, I also never knew I'd get sucked into the great community of Catster and Dogster - where every holiday is celebrated through photos of your pets in everything from hats, ties, boas, and costumes!

Naturally, since I've been adding some feminine collars to my Etsy shop, I needed to give the boys equal time. Here is a sampling of the few collar neckties I've added. I feel like I'm making doll clothes when I work on these - they are super fun, but time consuming!

Of course, they are not intended to be worn around the house - mainly for special occasions, and photo sessions. You're cat will thank you that he doesn't have to hold down a job and wear one of these from 9-5 each day!

Sammy the Cat Update

You might remember the care package we sent to Alabama for Sammy the Cat.

Well, there is an update today on Sammy the Cat over at the Catster blog. Be sure to check out the latest on this sweet kitty.

My favorite part of the article is this:

Averrett, an 87-year-old retired school teacher who still travels down to the local gym to lift weights three days a week, said another Notasulga resident, Louise Pratt, rented PO Box 173 in Sammy’s name. Hood not only pointed out the box, but pulled the mail Sammy received on Monday. Hood showed off 28 pieces addressed to “Sammy the Cat” from across the country – places as far away as California.

Between Friday, January 9, and Tuesday, January 13, Sammy received 68 pieces of mail and two packages.

I hope one of those two packages was our care package for Sammy! He is more famous than he even realizes!

Ring Around the Collar!

I recently purchased the most beautifully made fabric yo-yos from this Etsy shop. In the set of goodies I bought, there were also super cute covered buttons.

I spent the day making new flirty collars for my Etsy shop using these yo-yos and covered buttons. Here is a sample of these collars that are purrfect for your kitty or small doggie!

Just in time for a Valentine photo session!

Valentine Items in the Shop!

I've added a new item to my Etsy shop! I'm making camera strap slipcovers. No more ugly black straps! They have interfacing to give them a little padding and are super comfy around your neck or on your shoulder.

Of course, most of these will be made of animal print cotton, or holiday fabrics. Here is the first one I have for sale in the shop - super cute black and white kitties and doggies on a red background.

I've also added some Valentine Tissue Cozy Duos - keep one for yourself, and surprise your special Valentine by tucking one in their pocket, briefcase, or backpack!

These make super cute Valentine gifts for the special people in your life!

Care Package!

Yesterday's Catster Blog had a video and article about Sammy the cat. It seems Sammy was recently evicted from his home in the Notasulga, Alabama, post office because some anonymous cat hater said he doesn't pay taxes so he shouldn't be allowed to live there!

There was an uproar from the townspeople and one nice lady bought Sammy his own P.O. box - so now he is able to come back into the post office. I think they will be keeping him in the back rather than in the front window!

I decided to put together a little care package for cute Sammy as he reminded me of Calvin.

So, on Tuesday, this blanket, toys, and Greenies will be making their way to Sammy's post office box! I hope you enjoy them, Sammy!

Formal Wear!

I've been playing around with the idea of adding this collar/tie combo to The Cat in the Clover shop.

What cat doesn't need a little class and style added to their closet? And I must say Calvin is one handsome dude! I think I'll ask his pals over at Catster for their opinions, cause if you don't own a cat, you don't know that they do have opinions on just about everything!

Can I take this tie off now? . . . . . . It's killing my neck!

Typical man . . . . . . . .

Ahhh Choooo!

I found some doggone catgone cute fabric a few days ago. It's difficult to resist fabric with cats and dogs!

So, I decided to add a tissue cozy to my Etsy shop!

I was super excited to find this fabric with four-leaf clovers! Most of the clover fabric is for St. Patrick's Day, and the clover usually has three leaves.

These tissue holders are perfect for your purse, your kid's backpack, a make-up travel bag, your coat pocket, or your car's glove compartment.

You can mix and match your order, and four of these ship for the price of one! Stop by and pick up several to keep on hand for gifts or bunco prizes!

Bless You!

Move Over, Titch!

Bruce knew it was only a matter of time . . . . . . . Titch would have to get off the bed to eat or use the litterbox. And when Titch did, Bruce moved in on the Lemon Lime Twist bed from The Cat in the Clover!

Ahhh, what a purrfect place to take a nap on a winter's day!
