The New Boy in Town!
This handsome four month old boy is Kovo! He is the new brother of Pansy and Sully. His mother is a purebred sealpoint Himalayan, and his father is a purebred chocolate Exotic Shorthair. That makes Kovo darn cute! Their pals, Nikko and Scooter, sent Kovo this snooze sack to welcome him into his forever home!
The blue sure looks pawsome against his beautiful black/chocolate purebred exotic long hair! Sweet dreams, Kovo!

Meet Harriet - the pretty princess of the family!
Ozzy is more comfortable with his Calvin Collar than Harriet is - but being a princess, she can take all the time she needs to wear it - or not! Harriet celebrated a birthday last week - she is a young 2 years old! Hope you had a happy birthday, Harriet!

Catster has announced the finalists in the World's Coolest Contest! Three of my cats are in the finals - Samoa and Gleek in the Costumes and Shades category, and Newman in the Sitting Cat category. Last year, Gleek won in the Sitting Cat category, so we are hoping for a family repeat with Newman!

Not Just for Cats!
This handsome hunk is Howie! Howie isn't afraid to risk his manliness by wearing a Calvin Collar! When he isn't begging for treats or snoring at naptime, Howie is the assistant in his Mama's art studio!
His Mama is the very talented Nancy Medina! She is one of my favorite people I've never met! She was kind enough to surprise me with this gorgeous painting of Calvin. I was so touched by this special gift, and it will proudly hang in my sewing room when I get it framed.

Be sure to check out Nancy's blog where you will drool over the flowers she brings to life on canvas! Thank you, Nancy, and Howie, for this beautiful painting!

Klancy and His Mom!
This beautiful boy is Klancy. He is wearing a Calvin Collar I sent him as a gift after I received a beautiful keepsake from his Mommy.
Klancy's Mom is an artist, and has an Etsy shop called JDI Couture. Klancy and his siblings are friends on Catster. One day I got this message from Klancy's Mom:
I have always wanted to paint Calvin as I thought he was the most beautiful cat. Sadly I waited too long to do it during his lifetime. I know he brought you so much joy and will be with you always. May I send this to you as a gift?

Can you even begin to imagine how I felt when I saw this? Not only did I receive this beautiful portrait, but I also received another gorgeous painting from an on-line Dogster/Etsy artist friend. I'll be sharing it with you tomorrow.
Ted and I were so touched by the thoughtfulness of people we've never met in person. Thank you, Judie, for capturing my precious Calvin!

Calvin's Pals!
Calvin has so many sweet pals who have purchased a Calvin Collar. This is Hazel Lucy. Her Mom makes beautiful afghans, scarves, hats, and fun things for pets too! She sent me some great yarn, and in exchange, Hazel Lucy has her very own Calvin Collar. Her collar is extra special because it has an angel Calvin kitty button on the front. Check out Hazel Lucy's tranquility blankets and other items that make great gifts for the holidays or other special occasions!
This is sweet Montoya modeling his Calvin Collar. Montoya was born blind due to eyelids that did not form correctly. He was rescued through the Save a Sato organization in Puerto Rico. He has a forever home in Canada with lots of loving siblings. Even though he is blind, he gets around without any problems. You can also check out a great organization that rescues and finds homes for blind cats - the Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary in North Carolina. If you're looking for a place this holiday season to throw a few dollars that will make a huge impact, please consider one of these two non-profit organizations.
And this is another amazing Cal pal named Taz! Taz is a very handsome orange mancat who looks so much like Calvin. By looking at him, you'd think he was only 10 or 11, but Taz is 20 years old! Yep, 20 - the big 2 - 0! Isn't that pawsome?
