This house isn't the same without him!
His Mama is the very talented Nancy Medina! She is one of my favorite people I've never met! She was kind enough to surprise me with this gorgeous painting of Calvin. I was so touched by this special gift, and it will proudly hang in my sewing room when I get it framed.
Be sure to check out Nancy's blog where you will drool over the flowers she brings to life on canvas! Thank you, Nancy, and Howie, for this beautiful painting!
Klancy's Mom is an artist, and has an Etsy shop called JDI Couture. Klancy and his siblings are friends on Catster. One day I got this message from Klancy's Mom:
Can you even begin to imagine how I felt when I saw this? Not only did I receive this beautiful portrait, but I also received another gorgeous painting from an on-line Dogster/Etsy artist friend. I'll be sharing it with you tomorrow.
This is sweet Montoya modeling his Calvin Collar. Montoya was born blind due to eyelids that did not form correctly. He was rescued through the Save a Sato organization in Puerto Rico. He has a forever home in Canada with lots of loving siblings. Even though he is blind, he gets around without any problems. You can also check out a great organization that rescues and finds homes for blind cats - the Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary in North Carolina. If you're looking for a place this holiday season to throw a few dollars that will make a huge impact, please consider one of these two non-profit organizations.
Three beautiful roses from Amy and her sweet cats, Kittanna, Taillee, Zilla, Lilly, and Gaia Rose. She wrote on the card: A red for Calvin's passon for life, a pink for his love of family, and a yellow for all the friendship he inspired.
